The Plano Multicultural Outreach Roundtable will host a citizen information workshop on Feb. 11 at the Sockwell Center in Plano.

The workshop will allow attendees to learn about acquiring citizenship in the United States, the benefits of doing so and receive assistance from Citizenship and Immigration Services and attorneys for filing citizenship applications, according to the news release.

Attendees will also hear from experts and organizations related to immigration, including the Immigration and Naturalization Service describing their policies, the FBI discussing background checks and English as A Second Language providers in the area.

The workshop starts at 2 p.m. and is located at 6301 Chapel Hill Blvd., Plano. Childcare facilities are not available.
