Nov. 19-Dec. 24: Welcome Santa

Families are invited to welcome Santa Claus to The Shops at Willow Bend for the holidays. This party includes freebies, live entertainment, costume characters and more. 11 a.m.-1 p.m. (Nov. 19) Free. Santa will be at the mall for photos from Nov. 17-Dec. 24. From 9-11 a.m. Dec. 4, Santa photos will be geared toward those with sensory needs with music turned off and lights dimmed. Nov. 20: Focus on wellness

The 14th Holistic Festival of Life & Wellness presented by Human Embrace and Mystic Mandala offers yoga classes, holistic and wellness talks, fitness classes, music and dance performances, and vendors offering alternative and Western medicine. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. $10 (admission). Nov. 24: Trot in this tradition

The fifth annual Plano Turkey Trot features a 5K run/walk through Oak Point Park on Thanksgiving. 9 a.m. start time. Dec. 10: Enjoy a parade

The Rotary Clubs of Plano and the city will host the March of the Toys holiday parade, which begins near Mendenhall Elementary at 18th Street and M Avenue. It will head west on 18th Street, turn south on K Avenue, east on 15th Street and north on P Avenue. A festival in Toyland with music, crafts and food trucks will last until 1:30 p.m. in the north parking lot of the Plano Municipal Center, 1520 K Ave. 9:30 a.m. (parade).
