All Collin County and Denton County early voting locations will be closed Jan. 24 due to expected inclement weather, county officials announced Friday.

Frisco and Plano each have a City Council seat up for grabs in the Jan. 31 special election.
Polling locations are currently only closed on Saturday in both counties, and Denton County officials will “closely monitor weather conditions” in case additional voting time or location changes are needed, a news release states.
The early voting period is scheduled to end on Jan. 27.
The specifics
Frisco City Council Place 1 is on the Jan. 31 ballot after John Keating announced his resignation to run for mayor in May. The following polling locations in Frisco will be closed on Jan. 24:
- Collin College Frisco Campus, 9700 Wade Blvd.
- Frisco Fire Station No. 8, 14700 Rolater Road
- Frisco Fire Station No. 5, 14300 Eldorado Parkway
- The Grove at Frisco Commons, 8300 McKinney Road
- Frisco Fire Station No. 6, 3535 Eldorado Parkway
- Denton County Government Center, 5533 FM 423
- Frisco Fire Station No. 7, 330 W. Stonebrook Parkway
- Frisco Fire Station No. 4, 4485 Cotton Gin Road
