Morriss Road improvements
The project includes upgrades to the existing southbound left turn lane on Morriss Road at Valley Ridge Boulevard; the construction of a westbound right-turn lane on Valley Ridge Boulevard at Morriss Road; and the reconstruction of the existing eight-foot multiuse trail and crosswalk along Valley Ridge Boulevard. Flower Mound Town Council approved a construction contract for this portion of the project at its Sept. 16 meeting. Construction on improvements to Morriss Road at Valley Ridge Boulevard is expected to begin in late October.

Timberbrook neighborhood street improvements
Timberbrook neighborhood street improvements
This project will include the reconstruction of its concrete streets, sidewalks and curb ramps. It will also include the implementation of new water and sewer lines, and it will increase storm drainage capacity in the neighborhood. Halff Associates completed project design this summer. Lewisville City Council is expected to vote on the construction award for the project in December. Construction is set to begin in the neighborhood in February 2020.

Windsor Drive roundabout connection
Windsor Drive will be extended to West Windsor Drive and connected to an existing roundabout south of Pinon Street. The project includes the installation of a two-lane concrete street and modifications to an existing eight-foot multi-use trail along West Windsor Drive near the connection, according to the town’s website. Flower Mound Town Council approved the construction award at its Sept. 16 meeting. Construction is expected to begin in late October.

Yucca Drive and Churchill Drive improvements
This improvement project includes the reconstruction of Yucca Drive from Sagebrush to about 700 feet south of Cross Timbers Road. It also includes the extension of Churchill Drive by about 400 feet to connect to Yucca. Sidewalk, trail and drainage improvements are also part of the project. Construction began in November 2018, and the Churchill connection is now complete. Yucca has been reduced to one southbound lane from Stonebridge Drive. Stonebridge has reopened, and storm drain installation was completed this summer. Construction crews began removing pavement on the east lane of Yucca in September.
