After opening in February 2014, Rockstar Martial Arts and Fitness has seen its clientele base grow exponentially, owner Shiva Boecker said.

Boecker said she is talking to the landlord about moving to a larger space in the same shopping center on the northwest corner of Eldorado and Dallas Parkway. She is also planning to open a second Rockstar Martial Arts location in Frisco, somewhere to the south of the current location.

The studio offers traditional martial arts classes including Brazilian jiujitsu, muay thai, judo, boxing and taekwondo. Also since its inception, Rockstar has also offered RockFit classes, which is a fitness class for adults centered around kickboxing.

"I love to get families involved, so RockFit has been great for moms of my students," Boecker said. "It's the way I've been training for fitness for years and I never get bored. It's a full-body workout."

Recently, the studio implemented the same fitness class for children—RockFit Kids.

"It's a fun way for kids to take their physical and athletic abilities to the next level," Boecker said. "No belts required. It consists of conditioning, strength training, footwork drills and hand-eye coordination drills."
