Frisco restaurant expands concept to Plano

Wood-grilled burgers have arrived in Plano.

Kenny's Burger Joint, which began in Frisco on Legacy Drive, opened its second location

Sept. 30 at 5809 Preston Road in Plano.

Managing partner Chris Lynch said the Plano store is nearly a carbon copy of the Frisco location, offering the same food, service and concept.

The first Kenny's Burger Joint opened six years ago serving burgers that are grilled over hickory wood.

The restaurants are part of the Dallas-area Kenny's Restaurant group, which includes Kenny's Woodfire Grill, Kenny's Italian Kitchen and Kenny's Smoke House.

Since opening, the Plano restaurant has been busy, Lynch said.

"The support from Lakeside and in general the entire community has been incredible," he said. "We couldn't have asked for a better reception, that's for sure."

Both restaurants offer a full-service bar with Grey Goose, the featured drink, on tap.

Lynch said both restaurants pride themselves on offering the same level of service that guests find at the other higher-end restaurants in the company.

"We always take pride in making sure that every guest leaves happy," he said.
