After all precincts reported, Duff O'Dell won the runoff election for Place 6 on Grapevine City Council with 59.12 percent of the vote, with LuAnn Chapman Gatts receiving 40.88 percent of the total vote, according to unofficial Tarrant County election results.

A total of 1,644 votes were cast in the runoff.

O'Dell has lived and worked in Grapevine for more than 30 years and has a record of community service and volunteerism within the city, she said in Community Impact Newspaper's April election guide issue.

"I support our city's record of fiscal responsibility and want to be part of the discussions and solutions including parking issues downtown, bringing commuter rail to Grapevine and decisions regarding undeveloped property in town," O'Dell said.

With 61.1 percent of the early vote, Duff O'Dell leads in the runoff election for Grapevine City Council Place 6 against LuAnn Chapman Gatts, who has received 38.9 percent of the early vote, according to Tarrant County election results. The winner will fill the seat vacated by Roy Stewart, who retired from public service after his term ended.

In the general election on May 10 that gathered 1,025 votes, O'Dell led with 41.53 percent of the vote, and Gatts took 26.13 percent. Both candidates beat out the other challengers, Deverick P. Jordan and Marc Blum, but neither garnered enough votes to avoid the runoff election.

All election results are unofficial until canvassed.
