Traffic patterns are changing May 21 at the Independence Parkway and Main Street intersection, according to the city's communications department.

Traffic on Independence will be switched so that north and southbound traffic will share the west half of the road at the intersection.

The switch is a result of the Texas Department of Transportation's road widening project.

Motorists are asked to pay special attention to the new location of stop lines and turn lanes at the intersection and are urged to use caution in the construction zone.
