Tanya Nelson's struggle to find trendy clothes for little boys led to the creation of Punky Lunky.

"There was a lot of cute stuff for girls but nothing cute and hip for boys," she said. "I figured if I was having this trouble so were other moms."

Today, she also sells gift items, jewelry and accessories, home decor, women's clothing and natural soaps and lotions. Many items are homemade by local artisans.

Nelson operated the business from her Colleyville home for six years before opening a store in 2011. She moved to a larger space in Colleyville in April 2012.
