Tarrant County incumbents running for sheriff, tax assessor and the Precinct 3 county commission seat kept their jobs Tuesday.

Sheriff Dee Anderson, a Republican, received about 60 percent of the vote, defeating Democratic challenger Roberto C. Gracia,a sergeant in the sheriff's office, unofficial returns show.

The sheriff's term is four years.

Incumbent Tax Assessor-Collector Ron Wright, a Republican, had roughly 82 percent to Libertarian opponent Ken Stanford's 18 percent.

The term is four years.

In the race for County Commissioner in Precinct 3, Republican incumbent Gary Fickes won about 72 percent of the vote, appearing to defeat Democrat Norm Lyons.

The commissioner serves a four-year term.
