The Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine welcomed two new members to its board of trustees last week.

Steward Financial Group's Vince Hawkins and James Harper, a former senior executive at Eli Lilly and Company, joined the board of trustees.

"We are excited to welcome both James and Vince to the board," Chairman George McCleskey said in a statement. "Their business acumen and dedication to the community will be invaluable as we continue our era of growth to better serve the needs of patients and their families."

Harper, a Westlake resident, spent more than 30 years working in the industry for global pharmaceutical and medical devices. He served on the National Osteoporosis Foundation's corporate advisory board and the American Diabetes Association's national board of directors. He is U.S. Navy veteran lieutenant. Harper graduated from The Wharton School in Pennsylvania and Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.

"Baylor Grapevine serves as a vital resource in our community and I am excited to be a part of its legacy of care and success," Harper said in a statement.

Hawkins, a Colleyville resident, is a founding partner of Steward Financial Group. He previously served as a board member for Tembico Financial Services, with Directors Financial Management and as a First Baptist Church Colleyville executive council member. He graduated from the University of Texas at Permian Basin.

"Baylor is a leading regional hospital with strong community ties and I am happy to join during this exciting time in its history," Hawkins said in a statement.
