Completion of the Ridge Road connection project in north McKinney has been delayed until late October, Capital Improvement Program Manager Blake Sills said in an email.

The details

The project includes constructing a four-lane divided roadway with additional turn lanes to connect between US 380 and Wilmeth Road. Construction on the roadway began in September 2021.

The $18 million road connection was funded by the city of McKinney, Sills said.

Also of note

One of the four multilane roundabouts planned for city roadways will also debut when the connection project is complete. The roundabout will be located at the intersection of Ridge Road and Wilmeth Road.

Three other multilane roundabouts are planned for intersections along Wilmeth Road, which is expected to open in early 2024. The roundabouts will be located at the intersections of Wilmeth Road and Lake Forest Drive, Taylor Burk Drive, and Hardin Boulevard.
