Eldorado Parkway widening

Eldorado Parkway will be widened from four to six lanes between Custer Road and Orion Drive, including widening the existing bridge structure at Rowlett Creek. Additional turn lanes and intersection improvements at Custer Road will be included with the project. Other improvements along the corridor associated with the H-E-B construction, including turn lanes and a new traffic signal, have begun. Construction is expected to begin in October, with work beginning near Orion Drive. In areas where construction activities are occurring, only one lane of traffic will be kept open. The project is expected to be complete in summer 2023.

Ridge Road extension

Construction continues on the Ridge Road project between US 380 and Wilmeth Road. Ridge Road will be constructed as a four-lane divided roadway, including additional turn lanes at US 380 and a multilane roundabout at the intersection of Ridge and Wilmeth. During the month of October, bridge work continues over Wilson Creek, and permanent construction of the multilane roundabout at Ridge Road and Wilmeth Road has begun. The project is expected to be complete in spring 2023.

Wilmeth Road extension

Wilmeth Road is being constructed as a four-lane divided roadway between Lake Forest Drive and Hardin Boulevard. The project includes three multilane roundabouts at the intersections of Wilmeth Road with Lake Forest Drive, Taylor Burk Drive and Hardin Boulevard. Construction continues on the bridge over Franklin Branch. The project is expected to be complete in early 2024.

Street and alley pavement improvements




Construction continues on the annual street and alley pavement improvement project that is conducted throughout the city. Crews will be working on A Airport Drive from US 380 to Enloe Road and B Industrial Boulevard from SH 5 to Airport Drive over the next few months. Intermittent lane closures will be required, and delays are expected where work is occurring.
