1. Redbud Boulevard widening

Construction to widen Redbud Boulevard from a two- to a four-lane roadway is expected to be finished in December. Paving of the new southbound lanes were completed in November, and both new travel lanes are expected to be finished in December. Once complete, Redbud Boulevard will be a four-lane roadway from McLarry Drive to Bloomdale Road.

2. Trinity Falls Parkway widening

Reconstruction to widen Trinity Falls Parkway into a four-lane arterial roadway will continue. In late December, traffic along Trinity Falls will be shifted to use the newly constructed northbound travel lanes while construction takes place on the southbound lanes. Once complete, Trinity Falls will be widened from a two- to a four-lane divided roadway from Laud Howell Parkway to FM 543.

3. Bridge reconstruction

The bridge crossing Rowlett Creek along Stonebridge Drive reopened to traffic in October. Since March, Stonebridge has been closed while a complete reconstruction of the bridge and the adjacent pavement takes place. Temporary lane closures and detours will continue while final bridge work is completed. The project is expected to be complete by December.

4. Virginia Parkway expansion

Construction to widen Virginia Parkway is nearing completion, according to the city of McKinney. New travel lanes between Jordan Road and US 75 opened to traffic in early November in most locations. Isolated outside lane closures are likely to take place between Randy Lee Lane and US 75 throughout the rest of construction. Final work is expected to be complete in December. Once finished, Virginia Parkway will be widened from a four- to a six-lane roadway between Ridge Road and US 75.
