The McKinney First Baptist Church finished renovating its worship center and celebrated with a ribbon cutting in October, Senior Pastor Louis Rosenthal said.

The renovation project started in 2022 and was finished by August 2024, he said. The project scope included restoration of the sanctuary pews, new carpet, construction of a new upstairs balcony, new furniture in the foyer and newly installed wheelchair-accessible ramps, Rosenthal said.

“It is a total makeover from what was to what currently is,” he said.

In addition to the renovations, the ribbon cutting also celebrated the TMFBC community food and clothing pantry. The pantry provides free food and clothing to those in need, Rosenthal said.
