Butcher Board opened May 25. The to-go lunch spot is a sister restaurant of Sugarbacon, which opened last year in McKinney. Butcher Board offers hand-carved sandwiches and will offer some of the same menu options popular at Sugarbacon, including smoked pork belly, beer and wine.

The latest

Since opening last summer, the restaurant has become a popular lunch and dinner spot. Butcher Board has also added a Taco Tuesday, curbside pickup on chilly days and has started selling gift cards.

What’s next

Butcher Board staffers said the restaurant has already expanded its menu to include more variety like fresh soups and plans to introduce catering in 2017.  Butcher Board will also provide the service of whole meat sales, which staff said can take the pressure off meal planning when customers can pick up a whole brisket or roast for any meal.
