The CK’s Kitchen With An Attitude food truck opened Nov. 5 at 4169 E. University Drive, McKinney. The food truck offers gluten-free menu items that include chicken and waffles, loaded fries, and desserts.

“We are able to introduce [gluten-free] dishes that taste amazing and also safe to-go food that is so hard for celiac or gluten intolerant people to find,” co-owner Karla Pittman said.

Pittman’s husband Coyt has an intolerance to wheat, and she said it is hard finding places that are safe for him to eat, which inspired their gluten-free menu.

CK’s Kitchen With An Attitude will also offer non-gluten-free menu items starting in the new year. 469-693-8314. www.facebook.com/ckskitch
