Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is celebrating its 80th anniversary every day in September with specials that include a limited edition Big Yellow Cup. The Dallas-based chain opened in 1941 and has two McKinney locations.

Dickey’s is known for its barbecue wings, ribs and brisket, and traditional sides that include coleslaw, and mac and cheese.

Sweet & Smoky Pit-Smoked Wings and Dr Pepper Barbecue Sauce are some of the limited-time menu items. Brisket chili has also made a comeback for the anniversary. Barbecue fans can also enjoy the 80th Anniversary Meal: a Pulled Pork Classic Sandwich, choice of a side and a birthday cake marshmallow treat for $8.80.

“We are blessed and honored to be able to say we’ve served our barbecue lovers for 80 years,” said Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc., in a news release. “We look forward to continuing to give back to everyone who has gotten us this far, and to serving 'Legit.
