Robin Autopilot, a leader in robotic mowing technology and robotics as a service platform, announced it is relocating from Plano to McKinney. With a grant from the McKinney Economic Development Corp.’s Innovation Fund, the company plans to relocate 17 positions and create 58 new jobs over the next three years, bringing their total number of employees to 75 with an average salary of $90,000.

Robin Autopilot was launched in 2017 with the creation of a first-of-its-kind, emissions-free robotic mowing service. Subscribers to the business have access to software, robotic doors for homes with fences, training and support, and more, depending on the subscription level, according to a MEDC news release.

“As we continue our rapid expansion and strengthen our leadership position in robotic solutions for the lawn care industry, we are excited to be moving our headquarters to McKinney, where we will have ample room to grow,” Logan Fahey, chief executive officer of Robin Autopilot Holdings, LLC, said in the news release. “We thank the MEDC board and everyone else who helped make this relocation possible, and we look forward to becoming a proud member of the McKinney community.”

This project marks the largest relocation from the Innovation Fund to date, said Danny Chavez, senior vice president at MEDC.

“We are so excited to partner with Robin Autopilot on their relocation and consolidation here in McKinney,” Chavez said in the news release. “The Robin team has been great to work with, and we are looking forward to seeing them scale.”

Robin Autopilot’s new headquarters at 7850 Collin McKinney Parkway will initially occupy 10,000 square feet with options for expansion, per the news release. 855-910-8780. www.robinautopilot.com
