StatLab stated in a news release that a 50,000-square-foot distribution center should be up and running this summer. The center will be close to its current operations site, officials said, but an exact location has not been announced.
“A dedicated distribution center allows StatLab to triple the amount of temperature-controlled and flammable storage space compared to our existing facility. This means we can keep more of these products in stock to support supply chain stability for our customers,” Chief Operations Officer Kamron Keyes said in the news release.
The distribution center will also create an additional 15,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Keyes noted that the company has outgrown its currently available manufacturing space.
"Converting the existing warehouse space to manufacturing operations means we can work more efficiently, grow our teams, and increase production capacity—continuous improvement in action,” Keyes said in the news release.
StatLab was founded in 1976 and develops and manufactures diagnostic products. It partners with laboratories to provide easy access to more than 3,500 diagnostic products and equipment. The facility is currently located at 2090 Commerce Drive, McKinney. 972-436-1010. www.statlab.com
