Vitality Bowls is slated to open Friday, Aug. 14, at 3610 W. University Drive, Ste. 100, McKinney. The fast-casual restaurant specializes in acai bowls, a thick blend of acai berries topped with a variety of “superfoods,” which promote health and wellness with its nutrients. The new location will be the first for owner Krishna Gaddala, who plans to open additional locations in the area, according to a news release.

“The goal in opening Vitality Bowls is to make it a place McKinney can be proud of,” Gaddala said in the release. “I can’t wait to share my passion and enthusiasm for superfoods with the local residents and healthcare workers in the community.”

This will be the twelfth Vitality Bowls location in Texas. In addition to acai bowls, the restaurant will also offer smoothies, juices, paninis and salads in a cafe atmosphere. 469-714-0800. www.vitalitybowls.com
