McKinney ISD plans to replace the seats at the McKinney North High School auditorium, located at 2550 Wilmeth Road, McKinney. The MISD board of trustees approved purchasing 1,049 new seats for an amount not to exceed $429,502 at its Jan. 24 meeting. MISD Communications Coordinator Shane Mauldin said the original seats are nearly two decades old, and replacing them keeps with the district’s regular cycle of campus refresh projects. At the meeting, district staff said the new seats will be slightly wider and provide some additional comfort once they are installed in June or July. 469-302-4300. www.schools.mckinneyisd.net/mnhs
