School of Rock is having a grand reopening for its new McKinney location from 5-8 p.m. Feb. 21 at 3201 S. Hardin Blvd., Ste. 210. The school moved over the weekend from its previous location at 1600 Louisiana St., McKinney. The event will include ceremonial guitar smashing, face painting, group trial lessons and school tours. School of Rock focuses on performance-based music education. It aims to help up-and-coming musicians master skills, find creativity and develop tools to help them in everyday life. It offers guitar lessons at every level for both adults and children, private lessons and group rehearsals, among other opportunities.
