Castle Lanterra Properties announced Nov. 1 it acquired Broadstone McKinney, a 255-unit suburban multifamily community at 2650 S. McDonald St. near downtown.

Broadstone McKinney was built in 2020 and has amenities such as tall ceilings, granite countertops, a community clubhouse, a fitness center with virtual on-demand training, a resort-style swimming pool, a dog park and more.

Castle Lanterra Properties owns and operates more than 6,600 residential units across the county and purchased the property from Alliance Residential. Castle Lanterra Properties CEO Elie Rieder said the McKinney submarket is expected to experience future job growth of almost 55%, compared to the national average of 33.5%. He said this illustrated the “affluence” of the area.

“We are extremely bullish on the strength of the residential market in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, which leads the country in both employment gains and population growth, and specifically in the tremendous upside of this really unique multifamily community,” he said in a news release.
