McKinney city staff are working to debut a new dashboard on its website that will provide a look into residential development the city. The website will provide automated, up-to-date information to show future housing developments as well as past and future developments.

McKinney City Council received an update on the progress of this website at its Aug. 18 work session. Staff provided a preview of the new site and the tabs that a user would be able to navigate through on the dashboard, from “Existing residential housing” to “Undeveloped residential zoning.”

“That is really, in a nutshell, what we tried to provide for the community, just to provide that information and to kind of give them a preview of what's happening,” city staff said.

“What a fantastic wealth of information,” Mayor George Fuller said.

Staff anticipates the website will debut in October.
