What you need to know
Trash and recycling will not be picked up on Monday, Dec. 25, or Monday, Jan. 1. The pickup schedule will be pushed back by one day during the weeks of Dec. 26-30 and Jan. 2-6.
Several city facilities will close during the holidays, including McKinney City Hall, city administrative offices and the city’s municipal court. These facilities will all be closed on Dec. 22, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Both McKinney library locations will also be closing at 6 p.m. Dec. 18-21, as well as Dec. 26-28, ahead of scheduled closures later in the week.

- Apex Centre: closed Dec. 24-25, reduced hours Dec. 31 and Jan. 1
- Old Settler’s Recreation Center: closed Dec. 22-25, Jan. 1

- Senior Recreation Center: closed Dec. 22-25, Jan. 1
