On May 6, voters will elect representatives for the following City Council positions: District 2, District 4 and At-Large Position 2. Three candidates have filed applications for McKinney City Council seats, all of whom are uncontested in their bids as of Feb. 8.

The final day for candidates to file applications to run for City Council is Feb. 17.

District 2

Patrick Cloutier, a financial adviser who has lived in the district for 26 years, is the only candidate who has filed to run for District 2 as of Feb. 8.

District 4


Rick Franklin, a real estate broker who has lived in the district for seven years, is running uncontested for District 4.

At-Large Position 2

Michael Jones, a commercial banker who has lived in the city for 22 years, is running for an at-large position.

Early voting will take place from April 24 to May 2. April 6 is the deadline to register to vote in the May 6 election.
