The McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra will perform side by side with the Greater North Texas Youth Orchestra in a show called “Transfiguration.” The orchestras will perform Richard Strauss’ “Death and Transfiguration” and Richard Wagner’s “Prelude to Lohengrin.”

5. Cars and Guitars show

Attendees can look at classic cars while listening to live music performed by local McKinney band Adobe Road. The event will also include food trucks.

6. Texas Music Revolution

The music festival is returning to downtown McKinney for its 29th year in 2025. The event takes place over two days and features live music from chart-topping and emerging artists in the country and Americana genres.

7. Trinity Falls Trail Day 5K

Trinity Falls is hosting its 3rd annual Trail Day 5K race. The route will take participants around the Trinity Falls community. The event will also include local vendors, food trucks and more.8. Millhouse Makers Market

Attendees can celebrate pop culture and graphic novels at this event which will feature vendors, cosplay contests and more.12. Bug-a-thon at the Heard Natural Science Museum

In this annual event, kids can participate in an insect-focused activity where they have to identify as many insect species as possible within the wildlife sanctuary. Kids can also observe moths up close after the sun sets.
