May 12: Attend an art gallery opening

A grand opening for the Bouxbart Gallery will be held at The Jelly Queens in downtown McKinney. The gallery includes pieces of “Bouxbart” by artist Tuttidee, which are paintings made with the artist’s breast, according to its website. All proceeds from “Bouxbart” paintings are donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, according to the event website.

May 12-13: See live music at a golf tournament

The AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament will be opening its doors at the conclusion of play to welcome in community members without tickets for free live music performances. Country singer Hayden Haddock will perform May 12, and The Maylee Thomas Band and Buffalo Ruckus are scheduled to perform May 13.May 12-13: Enjoy a night at the theater

The McKinney Repertory Theatre will perform the Neil Simon play “Rumors” at the McKinney Performing Arts Center. The show is a farcical play about a dinner party gone wrong. The performance is directed by Marilyn Latham.

Vintage Market Days of Dallas-McKinney will be at Myers Park and Event Center. The market will offer vintage and vintage-inspired items as well as jewelry, clothing, live music and food trucks.May 13: See a car show

The Cruisin' for a Cause Car, Truck and Cycle Show will be held at Stonebridge United Methodist Church. The annual car show supports local charities and has raised over $95,000 for charity since 2014, according to the event website. This year’s charity beneficiary is Family Promise of Collin County, an organization that aids families with children who are experiencing homelessness.
