Members of the McKinney community plan to hold a candlelight vigil and march in the Adriatica Village to remember the lives that were taken May 24 at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
The event will be held at 8 p.m. May 26 at The Sanctuary, 6633 Virginia Parkway, Ste. 102, in McKinney.
During and after the march, money will be collected to help cover the cost of hospital and funeral expenses for the Uvalde families. A Go Fund Me campaign has been started by McKinney Mayor George Fuller, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Uvalde fundraising efforts, according to the event page.
