Voters in McKinney can cast their ballot for the Nov. 5 election during the early voting period from Oct. 21-Nov. 1.

What you need to know

Collin County residents can cast their votes at one of 42 early voting locations countywide, including 11 locations in McKinney. For a full list of voting locations, as well as updates on wait times at each location, visit www.collincountytx.gov/elections/polling-locations.

Polling location operating hours vary, according to the Collin County Election Office’s website, and are as follows:
  • 8 a.m.-5 p.m. from Oct. 21-25
  • 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Oct. 27
  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Oct. 26 and from Oct. 28-Nov. 1
On the ballot

Ballots will feature several federal and state races, as well as county races, which include Collin County Tax Assessor-Collector and Collin County Constable, Precinct 3.


McKinney residents will also consider four propositions that, if passed, would amend the city’s charter to increase city council term limits and compensation, as well as enact administrative amendments to the charter.

Looking ahead

Election Day is set for Nov. 5 and voting locations will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., according to the Texas Secretary of State’s website. Registered voters can cast their ballot at any location countywide on Election Day.
