With all vote centers reporting, Pam Little has won the Republican runoff race for the State Board of Education District 12 seat, according to unofficial election results from the Texas Secretary of State.

The details

Little received 31,870 votes, representing 50.83% of votes cast.

Her opponent, Jame Kohlmann, received 49.17% of votes cast, totaling 30,825 votes.


Over 62,000 voters in the district's 12-county region cast a vote in the race.

How we got here

The race moved to a runoff election following the March primary election, where none of the four candidates received a majority of the nearly 175,000 votes cast. Little received 36.38% of the votes cast in that election, and Kohlmann received 27.04% of votes cast. Opponents Chad Green and Matt Rostami received 20.27% and 16.32% of votes cast, respectively, and did not advance to the runoff election.
