The breakdown
Regular board meetings are generally held on the third Monday of each month. This changes when the third Monday falls on a district holiday. The school board may also call special meetings throughout the school year when necessary, according to the district.

The MISD board of trustees is made up of seven board members elected to serve overlapping terms of four years. Board members represent the MISD community as a whole and are responsible for setting school district priorities and policies.
