The district’s board of trustees approved extending the superintendent’s contract during a Jan. 21 board meeting. Pratt was appointed superintendent by the board in March 2023.
What happened
The board met in closed session to discuss Superintendent Pratt’s performance, board President Philip Hassler said. Pratt’s contract will be extended for another year.
The superintendent’s salary was not increased due to the district not expecting to receive additional state funding during the 89th legislative session, trustee Stephanie O’Dell said. Pratt’s initial contract included a salary of $305,000. An amendment to the contract made in 2024 extended his service to June 30, 2027.
