McKinney ISD is strengthening its wireless internet capacity in its high school gyms to accommodate for online testing needs.

The action taken

Upgrading the wireless systems of the high school gyms was approved by the district’s board of trustees in an April 22 meeting. The agreement for purchasing wireless access points is with Netsync Network Solutions and totals $139,675, per the agenda.

“That upgrade will help us have more testing availability and more sites for testing, so we can spread the kids around,” Trustee Stephanie O’Dell said in the meeting.
