Representatives from the PASCH network of schools and Goethe Institute presented a plaque to McKinney Boyd High School recognizing it as a member of the PASCH network.

The PASCH program is a global network of about 1,500 schools worldwide that place a high value on German.

There are only 11 high schools in the country who have been selected for inclusion in the PASCH network, which stands for the "Schools: Partners for the Future" initiative.

PASCH is a German organization that partners with select schools around the world to identify students who are talented in the areas of engineering and math and who are also German language students.

The purpose of the network is to create opportunities for those students to study at German universities for a reduced rate after graduation, and then fill much-needed engineering jobs in Germany.
