Collin College SAT Math Review
The McKinney campus’ SAT review helps students master the redesigned SAT math section. Over six sessions, students will learn how to solve problems featuring science, social science, career and using real-life applications.

Youth Career Exploration Camp
At the McKinney Fire Department’s Youth Career Exploration Camp, children are introduced to jobs in emergency response. The camp guides students in the classroom and in the field, showing them all sides of the fast-paced jobs. By the end attendees will have a better appreciation for the jobs that save their lives and a better understanding of what the job entails. Ages 12-15. Nature Art Camp
At the Heard Natural Science Museum’s Nature Art Camps, kids will be able to merge their love of nature and creativity. Led by the museum’s curator, Lynne Hubner, the Nature Art Camp teaches campers how to create art inspired by nature and wild animals. Campers will learn about new mediums each day and create original pieces.

School of Rock
School of Rock is a whirlwind of music and performance workshops where kids can learn to embrace their inner rock star. Campers will work with music professionals to improve their guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard and vocal skills learning to take the stage with confidence. Attendees will also learn about music theory and fundamentals. Registration for each week ends three days before that camp starts.

Young Actors Guild Broadway Bound: ‘Annie Jr.’
At Broadway Bound, campers will put together a performance of the musical “Annie Jr.” in two weeks. The cast and crew, made up of a wide variety of ages, will learn and rehearse the show. Campers will also be taught by experienced theater directors. The kids will perform the show throughout the weekend following their last day of camp. Registration ends May 2.

Camp Invention
At this week-long summer camp, attendees will brainstorm, create, tinker and invent. Children will use real circuits, tools and materials from the "Inventor Supply Room" to create a prototype of their invention. Inventions include a personalized motor-powered vehicle, an insect-themed pinball machine and more.

Day camps at Old Settler’s Recreation Center include trips, challenges, team building and more. Camps offered include “Sink or Swim” at which campers will visit Hawaiian Falls, “Put on Your Game Face” where campers participate in team competitions and “Unique by Nature” where attendees will learn navigation skills and more.

Fun in the Sun Outdoor Day Camp
The YMCA’s Fun in the Sun camp puts an emphasis on the outdoors. Campers will enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including a field trip and swimming. Registration is open until the day before the camp starts.

Glamp Camp (half-day)
The recreation center’s half-day “Glamp Camp” adds style to the outdoors. Short for glamorous camping, “Glamp Camp” combines confidence building and survival skills with tea parties, spa days and fashion shows. The camp is available in morning and afternoon sessions. Keeper Camps
The camps guide children through the Heard Natural Science Museum, offering a behind-the-scenes look. Campers will learn about the museum’s exhibits with hands-on activities and learn how to properly care for the on-site animals. Camp registration closes when a camp is full or on the Friday before it starts. Campers must attend Keeper Camp 1 to enroll in Keeper Camp 2.

Little Rascals Camp
McKinney’s Adventure Camps jam pack their weeks with nonstop field trips. The Little Rascals Camp takes 8- to 9-year-old campers to water parks, trampoline parks, LEGOLAND, Rainforest Cafe and to arcades and movies. Registration is open until camp is full.

Prairie Adventure Camp
Cell phones are put away and pioneer outfits are put on at the beginning of Historic Chestnut Square’s Prairie Adventure Camp. The camp is a journey into the past, where campers find themselves living and learning about life in the 1880s. Campers are introduced to a wide variety of activities, including old-fashioned skills, food and games that transport them back in time. Registration is open until the week before the camp begins.

Summer Camps at the Apex Centre

Campers will be introduced to a host of topics about the environment. In its two sections, Camp Cougar and Camp Egret, kids will learn about animals on land and in water, the impact of natural disasters and the solar system. Weekly activities at Texas Best Gymnastics day camp include Hawaiian Falls, Strikz Entertainment, movie outings, open gym, painting, Rough Rider games and more. Children will need to bring a snack and sack lunch everyday unless notified.

Martial Arts Camp
Camps include martial arts, child safety, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, dodgeball, LEGOS, games and reading time.
