The shop is owned by Kyriakos and Lisa Kouzoukas, who have previously owned bagel shops in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Bagel Cafe offers 18 flavors of bagels, including rainbow bagels, and 11 varieties of cream cheese spread, according to its website. The bagels are New York-style, Kyriakos Kouzoukas said, and undergo a multistep process including proofing and boiling before being baked. The process can take over 24 hours, he said.
“A bagel, No. 1 has to be boiled, No. 2 has to be chewy on the inside, and No. 3 has to be crusty and crispy on the outside,” he said.
Other menu items include breakfast and lunch sandwiches, muffins in a variety of flavors, bialys, coffees, teas and other drinks.
