Owners Greg and Joy Booth have sold their McKinney restaurant, E.J. Wills Gastropub, according to a statement posted to the business’s Facebook page.

New owners took possession of the restaurant on Feb. 7, Joy Booth said in an email. Over the next two months, the restaurant is expected to rebrand and transition to a new concept, which will serve Cajun cuisine, according to the social media post.

Greg and Joy Booth moved the restaurant to McKinney in 2018 and have since expanded the footprint of the restaurant. The owners decided to sell the restaurant to spend more time with family, Joy Booth said in an email.

“We have loved every minute serving our neighbors and value all the great relationships made,” she said.
