The cafe and pizzeria, located at 3935 S. Lake Forest Drive, opened in early 2022. The restaurant served a variety of coffee drinks as well as fusion food dishes inspired by various cuisines, including Mediterranean, Arabic and American, according to its website.
“We want to express our sincere gratitude for your loyalty and support,” Toleen and Ayman Hatkwa said in a post on the cafe’s Facebook page. “It has been an honor to serve you, and we are grateful for the relationship we have built.”
Sultan Mediterranean Cuisine, a restaurant serving Mediterranean dishes, is expected to occupy Yaba Java Cafe’s former space, according to a sign at the location.
