1. McKinney City Hall
Project: The 175,000-square-foot facility will consolidate city staff from various offices into one location. The building will house city offices, including the city manager, development services and building inspections, as well as City Council chambers, event space and meeting rooms.
Update: Interior finishing work is underway, including installation of flooring and architectural woodwork, according to a statement from a representative of Pogue Construction. The structure for the council chambers is complete, and walls are being framed. Installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, as well as the elevator, is also underway. The exterior pavilion structure has been installed, and the brick facade is nearly complete. Landscaping is set to begin on the site soon.

2. McKinney Fire Department Headquarters
Project: The campus will include a 40,000-square-foot fire administration building as well as a 20,000-square-foot fire logistics center and a new 16,000-square-foot Fire Station No. 2 facility. The fire department will relocate its offices from the existing McKinney Public Safety Building to the new facility following completion of construction.
Update: The building site has been prepared for construction, including installation of utilities. Crews are working on the installation of plumbing and electrical systems below the building pad. Fire lanes have also been poured on the site, and half of the planned concrete paving has been completed.
