Work is underway to add a new building at First McKinney Baptist Church, according to an email from Communications Director Meredith Davis.

The $24 million project will add a new space for students between sixth and 12th grades. The space will include a multipurpose area, a large gathering room, hang-out areas, offices and classrooms, Davis said. The church’s lobby area is also being expanded to connect the student building, kids building and main building.

Construction began in April and is expected to finish in August 2025.
