The McKinney City Council unanimously approved a project during its Oct. 3 meeting that would bring luxury townhomes to the east side of the city.
The development, dubbed Pinehurst Luxury Townhomes, is located on the north side of Wilson Creek Parkway and directly east of McKinney High School. The developer, AIM Ventures, plans to build roughly 30 total units on the six-acre property, according to a representative of the developer at the meeting.
Council unanimously approved a request to modify the current planned development zoning to allow for single family attached residential uses. The Planning and Zoning Commission denied a request for rezoning this property in January when a multifamily development was being proposed.
AIM Ventures has owned the property since 2020, according to records from the Collin County Appraisal District.
