A multifamily development has been proposed for McKinney’s Craig Ranch development at the southeast corner of the intersection of Van Tuyl Parkway and Grand Ranch Parkway.

The five-story building is less than a mile away from the first phase development of Craig Ranch Corporate Center. The building will sit on just under 5.3 acres that is adjacent to a greenbelt.

Current plans propose the building to have 310 units, both residential and corporate spaces, according to the proposed site plan. The proposed plan also indicated the development could include amenities such as a pool with a cooling deck, a fitness center and a putting green.

At their Aug. 23 meeting, McKinney planning and zoning commissioners received a presentation about the proposed development. The commissioners unanimously approved two variances to allow the future residents direct access to the neighboring green spaces in addition to other landscape allowances.
