Development firm Oxland Group announced Dec. 6 that 600 multifamily housing units will be included at Painted Tree in McKinney.
The Painted Tree residential development spans over 1,100 acres north of US 380 near Lake Forest Drive. Its master plan includes 3,400 residences as well as a trail system and a lake. Earlier this year, McKinney City Council agreed to annex an additional 613 acres into the city, with which Painted Tree could develop residential, multifamily and potentially commercial use.
Atlanta-based Davis Development will be responsible for developing the new luxury multifamily housing coming to Painted Tree, a news release stated. The community will open in two phases starting in 2022. The apartments will be built as three- to four-story interior corridor buildings with elevators and upscale amenities, the release stated.
“The inclusion of multifamily housing at Painted Tree allows us to offer a broad range of home options that best accommodate what our residents are looking for in North Texas,” said Tom Woliver, co-president and founder of Oxland Group, in the release. “Davis Development has been a terrific partner in ensuring we continue to offer the best housing and amenity packages for future residents.”
