Construction has begun on a new development in McKinney called the McKinney National Business Park. Located on 114 acres south of the McKinney National Airport, the development will house a variety of industrial warehouses for research, development and service-related uses. Once complete, the park is expected to be over 1 million square feet of industrial space. The development is expected to provide supply for the growing demand of e-commerce, fulfillment space and other marketing requirements, according to a Sentinel Capital news statement. Sentinel, a Houston-based development company, broke ground on Phase 1 of the project March 12. This phase will include the construction of two 75,250-square-foot industrial buildings with office spaces. Sentinel expects construction of Phase 1 to be complete by fall 2019.
