Collin College’s Central Park Campus in McKinney has seen some major changes since its inception in 1986. The most recent change came in summer 2015 when the campus opened its first conference center. For 2016, the campus will unveil a new health sciences center.

Israel Health Sciences Center set to open in JanuaryThe three-story, 125,000-square-foot health sciences center located on the northeast side of the campus will feature state-of-the-art hospital labs for students in nursing, emergency services, surgical technology, respiratory care and polysomnographic technology sleep disorders programs as well as classrooms and faculty offices.


“This monumental new health science building will support the health and well-being of thousands of North Texans by expanding the pipeline of licensed professionals,” Collin College President Neil Matkin said. “Collin College has been a big player in health science education, and this is just the beginning of great things to come.”


Named in honor of the college’s second and longest-standing president, the Cary A. Israel Health Sciences Center will also house an expansive simulation lab with a collection of advanced human patient simulators to be used by students to practice clinical procedures.
