Officials report McKinney death related to COVID-19, bringing city total to 25

An 88-year-old McKinney man with COVID-19 and underlying health conditions died July 16, Collin County Health officials reported. This brings the total number of county resident deaths associated with COVID-19 to 65, according to county data.

In McKinney, there were a total of 13 new cases July 20. This brings the total number of active cases to 134. There have been 924 confirmed cases in McKinney. According to the Collin County dashboard, 765 McKinney residents have recovered from COVID-19, and 25 residents with COVID-19 have died.


Across the county there were 82 new cases of COVID-19 reported July 20, according to data. That brings the total number of active cases to 918, with 5,456 confirmed cases in Collin County. There have been 4,473 people in Collin County who have recovered from the virus and 65 residents with the virus who have died.
