Collin County health officials reported 21 additional cases of the new coronavirus May 11.

The county now has a total of 939 cases of the virus, 305 of which are active cases, the report states.

McKinney residents account for 197 of the total cases, according to the county’s online dashboard.

Of those who have tested positive in Collin County, 605 have successfully recovered, 19 are hospitalized and 286 remain in home isolation as of May 11, the report said.

There have been 29 deaths of people who tested positive for the virus in Collin County; the most recent death, a 77-year-old Plano woman with underlying health issues, was reported May 11.


There have been 10,998 negative COVID-19 tests in Collin County, and there are 1,530 people being monitored for the virus as of May 11.

Seventeen new cases of coronavirus and one death were reported by the county May 10. Fourteen new cases were reported May 9.
