An additional 15 new cases of the coronavirus were reported May 4 by Collin County health officials.

The county has 249 active cases of the virus of the 804 total confirmed cases. McKinney makes up 180 of those cases, with three new cases reported in the city May 4. A total of 14 McKinney residents with COVID-19 have died, and 22 people countywide have died, health officials reported.

In ZIP code 75069 there are 57 confirmed cases of the virus. Of those, 27 have recovered, 27 are at home, one is hospitalized and two have died.

In ZIP code 75070 there are 49 confirmed cases of the virus. Of those, 37 have recovered, 10 are at home and two are hospitalized. Two new cases were reported in this ZIP code May 4.

In ZIP code 75071 there are 38 confirmed cases of the virus. Of those, 21 have recovered, 16 are at home and one has died.


In ZIP code 75072 there are 43 confirmed cases of the virus. Of those, 22 have recovered, nine are at home, one is hospitalized and 11 have died. One new case of the virus was reported in this ZIP code May 4.
